Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 2008 having spent some time in the Music industry before becoming a solicitor, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Andrew has a wide experience of different types of legal matters. Andrew prides himself on his common sense approach to all legal problems to ensure that the client is fully informed of all matters and the best resolution is reached, especially at the loss of a loved one which is always difficult.

Andrew is often appointed as Executor and acts as being an Attorney under Lasting Powers of Attorney. He has developed particular expertise in managing the financial affairs of the elderly under a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA). An attorney can also make decisions on behalf of someone who has lost their mental capacity. The main difference is that an attorney is appointed by the relevant individual themselves, rather than by the Court of Protection. The individual will have appointed their chosen attorney at a time when they still had mental capacity by creating a LPA

Often people don't want to burden their family or friends with decision making or they simply don't know who to choose or trust. This is where a professional person acting as your attorney or deputy can help.

His experience of being an attorney has led to invitations to speak at a number of local events on various aspects of his work.

He specialises in the preparation of Wills, powers of attorney, probate and court of protection work and is a fully accredited member of the Solicitors for the Elderly group, plus a Dementia friend. He also participates in Fund Raising campaigns through his own will promotion that he devised himself to raise monies for local charities.

He really enjoys the work he does - partly as it can be very technical and challenging and partly as he likes being able to help clients by giving them the peace of mind that comes with having their affairs in order.
